Wishing Well House is a registered charity (number 1118663) and the trustees are desperately fund-raising in order to reach their first target of £150k.
This will enable us to open a school in the NorthWest of England that will provide one to one education for children with autism using a programme called Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
The school will make a positive difference to the lives of autistic children and will have a particular focus on the arts to include music and movement. This will help the children to improve their communication skills and to achieve their maximum potential in preparation for adulthood by providing dedicated, specialist teachers and experts in the fields of autism and the arts.
The following statistics are from The National Autistic Society website:
Significant failures in our education system are causing misery for thousands of families affected by autism in England*.
* The term autism is used to refer to all conditions on the autistic spectrum, including Asperger syndrome.
